Speaker: Dr. Bernhard Reutersberg, Chairman of the Executive Board of E.ON Ruhrgas AG
Based on a request by the European Council, the EU Commission followed up with its 2nd Strategic Energy Review (SER II) for a future European energy policy that devotes greater attention to security of supply. In this context it will be necessary to implement ideas presented by the Energy Security and Solidarity Action Plan. Response from policymakers, industry and stakeholders is needed.
Our speaker will explain the view on the SER II from the perspective of E.ON Ruhrgas as a pan-European gas supplier active along the whole gas chain from the wellhead to the burner tip, thus providing secure gas supplies to Europe.
The company's experience during the recent Russian-Ukrainian gas conflict and lessons learnt from it with regard to security of supply, infrastructure needs and the future regulatory framework will also be taken into account.
