Ambassador Cristina Narbona Ruiz of Spain signed the Terms of Reference for the International Partnership for Energy Efficiency Cooperation (IPEEC) and IPEEC Memorandum with the IEA which is the host for the IPEEC Secretariat. In so doing, the European Union officially joins IPEEC. The signing occurred on 26 January 2009 during the 2nd IPEEC Executive Committee which was held at IEA Headquarters in Paris.
