Degree in electrical engineering (1990); master's degree in nuclear engineering (1994); Ph.D. in nuclear engineering (2001). Researcher at the Jožef Stefan Institute (1990-2004).
Chairwoman of the Supervisory Board of the Municipality of Domžale (1998-2002). Member of Domžale Municipal Council (2002-2004).

After the European elections, new forces joined the office of Romana Jordan: Metka Čavka has recently completed her MA in European Administrative and Political Studies at the College of Europe in Brugge and deals with climate and environmental issues, while while Špela Majcen holds a MA in International Relations and Diplomacy of the EU from the same insitution and is focusing on energy and industry matters.
