This event will be an opportunity to discuss the key success factors for financing climate adaptation, clean urban transport and energy efficiency at the operational level. It will present 25 successful projects in 5 thematic parallel strands of interactive workshops on financing climate adaptation, clean urban transport, energy efficiency in public assets, and home renovation in cities and regions, as well as initiatives working across Europe to facilitate the market for climate and sustainable energy finance. Practitioners will share their experience of the development of bankable investment pipelines in order to enable replication by other interested project promoters. There will also be stands presenting successful projects and resources available to support project promoters.
The event is organised by the European Commission's Directorate-Generals for Energy and Climate Action and the Executive Agency for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (EASME) in collaboration with the Covenant of Mayors. The following day, on 22 February, the Covenant of Mayors and DG ENER organise the EU Covenant of Mayors 2018 Ceremony in the European Parliament.
