The 8th edition of the EU Sustainable Week (EUSEW) organised by the European Commission will take place from 24-28 June. The objective of this initiative launched in 2006 is to promote energy efficiency and renewable energy solutions.
The EUSEW is coordinated by the Executive Agency for Competitiveness and Innovation, in cooperation with DG Energy. The awareness-raising event is designed to spread best practices, share innovative ideas and build alliances to help meet the EU’s energy and climate goals.
Hundreds of organisations and individuals have joined the initiative in past editions, taking and active part in the numerous exhibitions, conferences, online events, performances, guided tours, open door days, workshops, media campaigns and concerts organised under the banner of the EUSEW in Brussels and other EU cities.
Regional authorities, business organisations, chambers of commerce, associations, citizen groups and NGOs, research centres and think tanks or EU institutions are planning events for that week. EEF Associate Members are planning different events under the banner of the Sustainable Energy Week this year. Please check their website for further information.
