First Euro-Mediterranean rendez vous on energy

The first Euro-Mediterranean rendez vous on energy entitled European Union - Union for the Mediterranean:A common sustainable energy future” will take place at the Brussels siege of European Parliament on 11 April on the framework of the Medgrid project.

The conference will be held under the patronage of Martin Schulz, President of the European Parliament and President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union for the Mediterranean (PA-UfM). Please follow this link to see the full programme or to fill in the registration form.

Medgrid project, launched in 2010, aims at fostering cooperation on energy issues between the EU and other countries from the Mediterranean region to fight against climate change and develop renewable energy. The project partners work closely with authorities in the countries involved, the European Commission, the scientific community, development banks and funds and NGOs.

6 EEF Members (Abengoa, Areva, EDF, GDF Suez, Rte and SIEMENS) are partners in this project that gathers together 22 entities and private organisations from multiple fields such as information technology, development and cooperation or energy.
