14.30 - 17.00
Room PHS 7C050 - European Parliament
One of the most important priorities of the European Union at this moment is the improvement of the interconnection of Member States' infrastructures, in particular energy and transport. In this context and in view of the upcoming proposals from the European Commission on the Multiannual Financial Framework and on the Trans-European Networks, the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats in the European Parliament (ALDE) decided an integrated look at these proposals.
As a first step, the hearing on the 1st of June entitled “Connecting Europe’s Transport and Energy Infrastructures” will discuss the evaluation of how the current EU support for the Trans-European Networks is functioning as well as the options that should be considered in order to make this contribution more efficient and consistent in the future.
