EEF’s Associate Member COGEN Europe is organising a workshop next March in Amsterdam that will focus on the development of biomass policies.
The main aim of the project is to develop integrated policies for the mobilisation of “resource efficient” indigenous biomass value chains in order to provide evidence for the 2020 bioenergy targets and the 2030 outlook. This workshop is also intended to facilitate the exchange of information on other EU28 national energy and non-energy policy measures.
Biomass Policies will bring together eminent biomass, bioenergy and biofuel European experts to provide a better understanding of how this resource can be efficiently integrated in the energy & biomaterial systems, taking into account the domestic availability of biomass resources, new conversion technologies as well as new stimulation and regulation measures.

The European Association for the Promotion of Cogeneration (COGEN Europe) works towards the wider use of cogeneration in Europe for a sustainable energy future. Cogeneration or Combined Heat and Power (CHP) is the most efficient way to deliver heating, cooling and electricity.
