Flexible “gas-to-power” solutions

As part of its activities, the EEF organized half a day visit to two flexible power plants. The visit will offered EEF members the opportunity to understand how flexibility and energy-efficiency work in gas power plants. It was an occasion to meet and ask questions to experts working on the ground.

The half-day visit included:

• Visit to the Ghent-Ham site: Engine-based cogeneration unit and aero-derivative gas turbine
• Visit of the Ghent-Ringvaart site: Combined-Cycle power plant  (CCGT)
• Refreshments and concluding remarks
