Further to the publication of the Electrification Action Plan, this dinner-debate will give our hosts an opportunity to engage with you on how policy can foster the development of a secure, flexible, renewables-based system supporting a competitive industry base in Europe.
Our speakers will explore the role of electricity markets in effectively driving investment in renewable energy and flexibility solutions. They will also present proposals for circular renewable energy allocation in RES auctions as well as recommendations on using instruments such as PPAs, CfDs, and support schemes to accelerate electrification.
Energy-intensive industry representatives will share both the opportunities and challenges they face in delivering demand-side flexibility and advancing electrification. The panel will also illustrate their points with real-life investments and share the lessons learned, including insights from initiatives such as the Innovation Fund’s heat auction.
