Flexibility is a cornerstone of an efficient, resilient, and decarbonised electricity system. As the European Commission prepares to unveil its Electrification Action Plan and other major energy initiatives, the European Energy Forum (EEF) is pleased to launch a new discussion series dedicated to the multifaceted nature of flexibility.
In this first session, we will provide an overview of the different types of flexibility—on both the supply and demand sides—their time horizons, and the key technical and investment challenges they present.
As flexibility becomes increasingly central to the energy transition — driving down system costs, strengthening security of supply and empowering consumers — there is a growing opportunity to adapt legislative frameworks in ways that fully unlock its potential.
Join us for a timely exchange with experts on how flexibility solutions are being developed and deployed to keep the grid balanced and the lights on.
We look forward to welcoming you to this debate and hearing your thoughts!
